1031exchange Bruce A. Danford graduated from California State University with a B.S. in Accounting in 1982. After working in various accounting capacities, Bruce became a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois in 1995. In January 2001, he then received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. This was followed by his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation in June 2001 with two Certificates of Course Specialization, on in Employee Benefits and the other in Estate Planning. Bruce is a member of the Colorado, Chicago, Illinois State and American Bar Associations. He is a frequent provider of pro bono services with Metro Volunteer Lawyers. His extensive background in Estate Planning will allow him to help you create a long term plan regarding your investments.


1031exchange Steven Hickox was born in 1952 in Vermont. His Father was a distinguished Professor of Geology at Colby College, Waterville Maine. Steven attended Eaglebrook School, Deerfield, Massachusetts graduating in 1968. He then attended Phillips Andover Academy, Andover, Massachusetts and graduated in 1971. He then attended Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts. After a summer job in Colorado, Steve emigrated to Colorado in 1973. He went on to attend Colorado State University graduating with a degree in Economics in 1977. He then attended University of Colorado Law School and received a JD in 1980. He was admitted to the Federal and Colorado Bar in 1981. He actively practiced law until 1994. He maintains an active law license in the State of Colorado. He is also a licensed real estate broker. In 1994, he founded 1031x.com, Inc. This company acts as Qualified Intermediary under section 1031 of the IRC. The company now has a 14 year track record of successful growth. During that time, 1031x.com has safely handled more than three-quarters of a billion dollars for its client's exchange needs.



1031exchange Christopher T. Sayre has an MBA in business administration specializing in finance from the University of Denver. In the past, Chris has worked with start up ventures and in financial planning for fortune 100 companies. Chris co-founded 1031x.com, a national real estate exchange facilitator, in 1994 and has been in charge of marketing and operations since then. He has financed small and large commercial real estate projects. Chris has been involved in the Rockies Venture Club. An organization that puts ideas and people together with capital to create successful business ventures. Chris has a passion for entrepreneurship. Chris and his wife, Nancy, and their sons live in Denver and can often be found at tennis or swimming competitions.
1031exchange Katie Zulanas is the Director of Operations for CastleEstatePlanning.com and Castle United Companies. Originally from Connecticut, Katie graduated from Fairfield University with a Liberal Arts degree, from UCONN with a degree in Software and Electrical Engineering, and from Rensselaer with a Masters in Engineering Operations. After 5 years in Chicago with her husband, their family moved to Denver in 1998. Katie has worked for several large corporations and is thoroughly enjoying working with Castle United Companies’ dynamic, growing organization. Katie and her husband, Tom, have two boys who keep them busy with all the great Colorado outdoor activities.
